Getting Started with Audio Mode

In this post we'll walk through Audio mode from scratch — open the app, pick a waveform, and hear your first notes in under a minute. No MIDI knowledge required.

We are so excited to share Prospero with you. When we see people making music with our app, it delights us more than we can say.

We first conceived of Prospero as a MIDI controller (it’s kinda in the name) but early feedback let us know we should include an Audio mode. This resulted in very simple, 4 waveform synth engine, with a few parameters and effects. (Note - free users, you only get the sine wave and reverb.) But this means that with no digital music experience, you can get Prospero making interesting, interactive sounds, which we think is a big win.
